An Executive Director typically has a full job description and sometimes already wears many hats for the Society’s business. Although on the surface this may be an attractive alternative to hiring a Development Consultant it is our experience that Executive Directors may or may not have the skills to deal with all aspects of the project and BC Housing. As well it is our experience that the Executive Director can burn out or be overwhelmed by their daily duties while worrying about the housing project the society wants. Our recommendation is to hire a development consultant.
